Insigma Awarded Major ICD-10 and Data Warehouse Implementation Contract with Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc.

Insigma’s unique ICD-10 services use real clinical data not available elsewhere in the U.S.

NEW YORK (April 18, 2012) – Insigma US, Insigma Technology’s US-based subsidiary, was awarded a contract as prime service contractor for Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc.’s  ICD-10 and data warehouse implementation.

“We are pleased to be working with Insigma as our strategic partner in our ICD-10 implementation,” said Steve Youso, Chief Administration Officer, Security Health Plan, a health maintenance organization sponsored by Marshfield Clinic. “We have worked with Insigma on other initiatives to modernize our information technology systems. We have been pleased with Insigma’s effectiveness and ability to help us adapt to changes in our industry. This new partnership will bring us further along in meeting new regulatory requirements and the changing needs of the market place.”

The Insigma solution takes healthcare businesses beyond any other ICD-10 solution in the market; it enables payers (health plans) and providers to avoid unforeseen business risks and achieve the desired business and clinical outcomes.

Insigma has a proven methodology for blending ICD-9 codes with millions of electronic medical records (EMRs) created at disciplined medical schools and searchable with a proprietary EMR search engine, thereby transforming ICD-10 codes.

“Our real clinical data are far superior to ‘made-up’ ICD-10 test cases and provide the basis of financial modeling at the granular coding level in the ICD-10 world,” said Hongfei Huang, CEO, Insigma US.

Teams delivering services for the ICD-10 project will be a combination of Insigma’s U.S. and China-based resources.
